PhD project: Self-regulated learning within the personal learning environment

This PhD project explores how students' self-regulated learning is expressed in their personal learning environment. The empirical basis for the project will be students from Computer Science at University College of Northern Denmark.

The purpose of the project is to contribute knowledge about self-regulated learning in relation to the students' Personal Learning Environment. The project will focus on students' use of digital media as part of their Personal Learning Environment and on how students through self-regulation can take control of their own learning.

Based on the need to develop students' self-regulated learning, the assumption is that knowledge about self-regulated learning within the students' Personal Learning Environment will benefit the educational institutions, teachers and the students themselves.
